Other Special Prayers apart from the Five Daily Prayers

LAILAT-UL-QADR or SHAB-E-QADR (The Night of Power)
In this night (27th of Ramadan), the Holy Quran was sent down to the earth. Messenger of ALLAH (Blessings of Allah and peace be on him) told us to search for Shab-e-Qadr in the odd numbered nights, in the last ten days of Ramzan. So, the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan could be Shab-e-Qadr.

Dear visitors, please take advantage of this night, from sunset till sunrise.

How to offer the above prayers.
On this night if you pray Tarawih with Imam, Usually, the Imam in the last 10 nights of Ramadan,  they postpone and delay a portion of night prayer and they pray it like at 2 AM or 3 AM. If u pray both shift or both portions with the Imam until he prayed his Witr, Insha Allah you would have attained the reward of praying the whole night. But Lailat-ul-Qadr is not only limited to night prayer, hence, one can Offer nawafil (prayers), recite QUR'AAN, do repent (Istaghfar), and Pray for pardon, recite many many Salawat (Darood Sharif & Salaam) and make benediction (Dua'as). On this great night it's of great benefit to perform SALATUL TASBEEH as well.

Special duaa of Lailat-ul-Qadr:

"Allah Humma Innaka A’fuvun Tohib Bul Afva Fa’afu Anni" ("O Allah! You are the Forgiver and You like forgiving so forgive me”)

You can pray Salaatul-Tasbeeh any part of the day or night except during the forbidden times for performing Salah. It is encouraged during the potential nights of Laila-Tul- Qadr because of the of the blessings during that blessed night as stated in the Qur'aan itself (Surah Chapter 97).
Your aim is to recite the Tasbeeh 300 times in a total over 4 rakahs with 75 Tasbeehs in each rakah

SALAT-UL-TAHAJJUD or NIGHT PRAYER  ( For greater Rewards)
Tahajjud prayer is an optional/supererogatory prayer performed during the night after waking up from sleep, because the meaning of Tahajjud is to give up hujud which means sleep, that is, to give up or leave off sleep. However, many Muslim jurists use Tahajjud to mean prayer performed during the night in the general sense, that is, after or before sleeping. (It is harder to wake up and pray early in the morning, making the person’s effort greater, resulting in a greater reward from God.)

The time of Tahajjud prayer is after one wakes up from sleep and before the adhan of Fajr prayer. However, the best time for performing Tahajjud prayer is the last part of the night. According to the scholars, the best time for Tahajjud is the last third of the night for the person whose habit is to wake up towards the end of the night. If a person's general habit is not to wake up towards the end of the night but to sleep until the break of dawn, then it is better to perform it during the first part of the night as a precaution (just in case is unable to wake up before the break of dawn).

How to offer the above prayers.
  1. 1.      Move to a clean and quiet place in the house being away from distractions.
  2. 2.      Offer minimum necessary of two Rakats and up to 12 rakats, depending on one`s willpower. Tahajjud rakats are performed in pairs and eight rakats is seen as a good number by many Muslims. In other words, most people will say two, four, six, or eight rakats, though more is not discouraged. For instance, according to the Hadiths, the Prophet Muhammad frequently prayed up to thirteen rakats. one rakat as Witr
  3. 3.      Emulate the practices of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who used to recite the following surahs after each rakat in Tahajjud:
  • ·         After reciting the Al-Fatihah the first rakat, recite the surah "Al-Kafirun".
  • ·         After reciting the Al-Fatihah for the second rakat, recite the surah "Al-Ikhlas".
  • ·         If you are able to, then reciting long surahs such as Al-Baqarah, An-Nisā’ or Al-‘Imran are highly commended, even if you can manage them only from time to time.

SHAB-E-BARAT or NISF SHABAN  (The Night of Forgiveness)
Shab e Barat is an important night in the Islamic calendar and it is celebrated in the mid of Shaban (on the night in between the 14th and 15th of Shaban). This is the reason why it is called Nisf Shaban. This blessed night starts at sunset on the 14th of Shaban and ends at dawn on the 15th of Shaban.

However, there are no Sahih Hadiths or verses in the Quran that clearly point-out or talk about the significance of the night. Different countries have different ways of celebrating this day and each has a different name for it. Especially in South Asia, many people celebrate the night, spending time in prayers for Allah and revere it as the night of forgiveness. There are some Daaif Hadiths that mentions the importance and virtues of this night.

EID UL-FITR & EID UL-ADHA
Eid Salah is performed on the morning of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha. It consists of two raka’at, with seven takbirs offered before the start of the first raka’ah and five before the second. The prayer of both Eids is "Waajib"(essential). The mode of offering Eid prayer is that one should form "Niyah" (intention) for two Rak'ahs of Eidul Fitr or Eidul Adha Waajib; raise his hands upto the ears and then fold them below his navel saying: "Allah-o-Akbar", recite "Sana" then lift the hands upto the ears and let them go; raise the hands again and let go of them; then lift them again and then fold them below his navel. He may keep this process in mind by the point that the hands have to be folded where recitation is done. Now the Imaam should recite 'Surah Faateha' followed by any other Surah aloud; observe Rukoo and Sujood as usual and then stand up for the second Rak'ah. In this, he should recite Surah Faateha and any other Surah and then raise his hands upto the ears saying "Allah-o-Akbar" and let go of them thrice and thereafter observe Rukoo saying "Allah-o-Akbar" and then complete the Rak'ah as usual with "Salaam".

After the Salah is completed, a sermon (khutbah) is offered. However, the khutbah is not an integral part of the Eid Salah. The Eid Salah must be offered between sunrise and true noon i.e. between the time periods for Fajr and Zohr.
